The Republicans in general are too corrupt and too beholding to corporate money being slipped into their pockets. I have voted republican in the past but not since 2004, both parties but especially the Republican Party needs to get back to grassroots support of their constituents. There is a lot wrong with U.S. politics and much that needs to be addressed but a good starting point is campaign finance. One bucket of money for campaign finance donations that is split evenly between parties, the current system of donations to the party or candidates of your choice creates the possibility of quid pro quo’s.

Every model, every prediction market has Democrats as the ovewhelming favourites to take the House, and yet Cook still can't bring themselves to have a majority of seats as favouring Dems. This is about as good of an environment for a party you can get in modern politics, and the fact that CPR still are too scared to make a call makes them a bit useless, to be honest.
