Installing on Windows? Read this first
VidNexa Player for Windows is brand new, and it is not code-signed yet. Because of that, Windows may show a blue screen saying “Windows protected your PC” the first time you run the installer. Windows shows that screen for any new app it does not recognise yet — it does not mean the file is unsafe. The installer is built by VidNexa and is safe to run.
- Click “More info” on the blue screen.
- Click “Run anyway”.
- The installer opens and setup continues as normal.
That's all there is to it — you only ever see that screen on the first install.
Everything a great player should do
One free player for your files, your streams and live TV — with your VidNexa library built in when you want it.
Every format, one player
MKV, MP4, AVI, MOV, WebM, FLV, MP3, FLAC, AAC and hundreds more — played natively, no converting first.
Up to 4K Ultra HD
Crisp playback up to 4K Ultra HD, with HDR where your device and the source allow — no fake upscaling claims, just the real picture.
Your media library
The videos and music on your device, scanned and organised with thumbnails and durations — ready the moment you open the app.
Stream from any link
Paste a stream link — HLS, RTSP or plain HTTP — and play it straight away. Live streams included.
Playlists, your way
Create playlists from files and streams, reorder them, and press play — they live on your device, no account required.
Subtitles & audio, your choice
Pick subtitle and audio tracks, load your own subtitle files, and fine-tune timing with subtitle and audio delay.
Speed control & resume
Watch at 0.25× to 4× speed — and every video remembers exactly where you stopped, ready to resume.
Honest quality readout
See the real resolution and bitrate while you watch, and pick the rendition you want on adaptive streams — a 4K option only appears when 4K is real.
Picture-in-picture & background play
Keep watching in a floating window while you do other things, or listen on with the screen off. (Android)
Sleep timer
Drift off without leaving a video running all night — playback fades out after 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes.
Your VidNexa, built in
Sign in (optional) and your Library, Watch Later, History and Saved videos are right there — played in the player, not a browser.
Kept fresh by VidNexa
Announcements, playback defaults and update prompts are managed by VidNexa, so your player keeps getting better — and never nags without reason.
Live TV & IPTV
Add your own IPTV playlists from a file or a link and watch live channels right in the player — grouped by category, with channel logos, search and favourites.
Ready-made channel catalogue
Free-to-air channel lists from the public iptv-org collection, built in: World, United States, United Kingdom, News, Sports, Movies, Music, Kids and more — tap Add and the channels are yours.
Cast to your TV
Send what you're watching to a compatible TV or streamer on your home network — the big screen is one tap away.
Browse your network
Play media straight from your home network — UPnP/DLNA servers and SMB shares, plus FTP and SFTP by address. Nothing to copy over first.
Download & record
Save streams to your device for offline watching — and record what's playing, live TV included, straight to disk.
Convert your files
Turn videos into MP4 (H.264 + AAC) or audio into MP3, right in the app — with progress and cancel. No extra tools, no uploads.
Snapshots
Grab a frame from anything you're watching and save it to your pictures — full quality, one tap.
A-B loop
Loop any section between two points — set A, set B, and it repeats. Made for practice, study and replays.
Online subtitle downloads
Download subtitles for what you're watching, right from the player — no browser, no file hunting. Switching on now; it appears automatically once activated.

Questions
The short answers.
Is VidNexa Player free?
Yes — free to download and free to use, on Android and Windows.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Your own files play with no internet connection and no account — the player is fully functional offline. Streams and your VidNexa library need a connection, as you'd expect.
Do I need a VidNexa account?
No. An account is optional. Signing in simply brings your VidNexa Library, Watch Later, History and Saved videos into the player.
What formats does it play?
Just about everything: MKV, MP4, MOV, AVI, WebM, FLV, TS, MP3, FLAC, AAC and many more — played natively, plus HLS, RTSP and HTTP streams.
Why does Windows warn me when I install?
Because the Windows version is new and not code-signed yet, Windows may show a blue “Windows protected your PC” screen on the first install. It appears for any app Windows doesn't recognise yet, and the installer is safe: just click “More info”, then “Run anyway” — see the note in the Windows download card above.
