Soccer superstar Kylian Mbappé says there’s no “frustration” over not yet winning a Ballon d’Or – an annual award given to the world’s best player – but tells CNN’s Amanda Davies that this “can be a good year for me.” Despite not winning any silverware last season, the French forward became the World Cup’s all-time top scorer this summer and argues that the award should be given to the best individual player.

Top scorer in the World Cup, Champions League and La Liga, best player in none of those competitions so no he shouldn’t be this year’s Balon D’or. Love watching him play though and yes he is overdue winning a Balon D’or, a generational talent like he is should be sitting on at least 2 already.

Whether he’ll admit it or not Mbappe just as most elite players does chase individual awards too. He started in a glorified friendly vs England to guarantee a WC golden boot and an overall WC scoring record. He is currently engaged in an aggressive press run to secure a much overdue Balon D’or, nothing wrong with admitting these things, it’s part of being competitive, it’s a winners mentality.

Hell no absolutely not! Ruined a Madrid team cause he’s lazy and only chases goals instead of trophies. Leaves the club that took a shot on him to go to Madrid and the team he leaves instantly becomes champions and Madrid become terrible. Nothing but meaningless goals.
