In Europe, delivering groceries in 10 minutes burned billions of dollars and ended in total collapse. But in Asia? It’s processing more than 70 million orders a day. How did one region turn quick-commerce into a total disaster, while another built a multi-billion-dollar everyday habit?

Contrary to what the "expert" says delivery companies failing is not a problem! Actually masses of underpaid, socially unsecured delivery drivers and their vehicles in the streets are a disease of nowadays city traffic.
In czechia we have a grocery delivery service called rohlík(meaning bread roll) that delivers in 90 mins and it's quite popular but we dont have any 10 minute ones
Why ultra fast delivery is not working in Europe.
Because we are not sardines 😂
While we have local stores up close.
Regular delivery is fine for us because we are not in a rush to eat on the go.
Also regular meals get delivered from local kitchens...
So... We don't need dark stores because we have enough normal ones up close where you can also order delivery and even open up cashier line for it😅
We don't need 10 minutes food delivery because we can sit down and eat properly.
Also we can deliver meals from local school kitchen on regular shifts and produced in bulk.
It means cheap and fairly good meals not just instant noodles and watered down 👎 coffee ☕😂
You know living a life.
Oh and also delivery workers get paid properly 😂
You first mention that as of 2025 India has 2,525 dark stores but later in the video you say just Blinkit has 2,000 hubs (which I suppose are dark stores).
Seriously india and china cant be compared to small countries like Germany and France they are literally and figuratively huge population centres and not to forget extremely hypercompetitive societies since their inception convenience for them is paramount nowadays its just 1 less thing to do for them.
I don’t need ultra quick delivery and extreme consumerism. The living standards for many in India and China has gotten better and convenience is one way to show it. The gap between rich and poor is widening however. High population with very exploitative labour laws, I don’t want that for any society.
Because it's pointless, i only order meals. If i need anything else i have grocery store 100 meters from my apartment and i actually get to choose higher quality produce and meat. I also have 2 farmers market 3 bus stops away with farm to consumer high quality produce that i enjoy shopping, I also get to talk to amazing people that sometimes set a good mood for whole day. When i was in China the amount of delivery drivers is astonishing and they all make so little money it is extremely convenient and the level of service is amazing but it is also on a back of low pay workers that work 10-12 hours shifts it's just not worth it.
What's the use in faster delivery for your groceries though?Does no one plan what they need in their houses?Delivery itself is a purely convenience oriented service for most people
Probably because in better regulated, less corrupt political-economies the idea of wasting the lives of thousands of people for the minor convience of a wealthier few seems like a wasteful, bad idea. These companies are terrible for restaurants/stores, drivers and consumers. Just a way for a tech company to siphon money from existing businesses.
In countries like Pakistan and India, platforms like Bazaar and Udaan raised hundreds of millions to deliver stream-lined inventory directly to small neighborhood grocery stores (kirana stores) — fixing the traditional wholesale supply chain from the ground up!
