Singapore’s probe into companies linked to forest fires in Indonesia is “not to find scapegoats” but to “do what is right”, Senior Minister K Shanmugam said on Wednesday (Oct 28). He added that the government is giving this issue its “full attention” and would pursue all available legal and regulatory avenues to hold those responsible to account.
“We need to make sure that companies here conduct their operations in a manner that doesn’t affect Singapore or the region,” he said. #sgnews #singapore #haze

These companies will just pay a small fine and then burn the forests again next year because the fines are ridiculous cheap. They only care about profit.
I'm willing to bet on Polymarket the Indonesians and these companies will do the same again next year.
Now change tune.
Does he dare to 'touch' these companies owned by tycoons who bring BILLIONS of dollars of profits into his country each yr.
Profits generated by using cheap labor and land use, in Indonesia for whatever business these companies are doing?
Obviously even his Boss told him WHAT NOT to do.
I suggest every time they chute pattern, subsidies in Indonesia burn peatland. Everyone cough out money to buy fire fighting planes and pay for medical costs of all people affected by the haze. All under their accounts.
Appreciate all the govt efforts and stances , this years haze is really very bad , in fact I dont even see as many birds flying around our space , even those chickens and cats roaming our neighbourhood have gone into hidinng , and this shows how bad it really is
