If the French Senate passes this bill, rioters will have to pay for the damage caused during the recent unrest across the country. This "casseurs-payeurs" bill comes in the wake of nationwide violence. This draft law now has an explosive add-on aimed at social media. Senators will vote on whether the government can block platforms that are too slow to act on authorities' reports of dangerous content.

French medias, including France24, receive tax-payer funded government subsidies. This needs to STOP.

I wonder why they chose October 17th for the largest riot? Definitely not terrorists…

Social media never damages "your democracy" when it supports your narrative but ofc this is YET ANOTHER ATTEMPT TO UNDERMINE ACTUAL DEMOCRACY LIKE WITH THE YADAN LAW! THIS IS ONLY ADDING FUEL TO THE FIRE!

Great idea. The far right will start having to pay for their vile interference with peaceful protesters and the destruction they cause to try to delegitimize a movement. This will expose once and for all the Russian-funded system of sending in paid rioters to disrupt peaceful anti-badgovernment protests and the right wing will start losing money. It’s about time they have to be exposed and pay for their double dealing and underhanded foreign-paid actors trying to destroy democracy.

Imagine France trying to criminalize freedom of expression. This is the kind of rationalizing that countries like Iran and Russia do to their citizens.

Hey hey now...this is truly a fascinating reporting but it's not as bad as Harris mumbling nonsense nonstop, Harris was sleepwalking the whole time while assisting Biden. Please don't hold her responsible for anything wrong!

They are about to take our rights away. It’s bad enough we have to live in this 3rd world country with no prospects of a better future and now they want to shut us up.

He blames free speech instead of taking accountability for his poor governance.
