If the EU doesn't wake up, your markets will become a place for China to sell cheap goods. I propose that the governments of all EU countries need to take tougher measures against China. Governments need to support domestic businesses to enhance national competitiveness. The EU cannot delay any longer. You have made a huge mistake over the last decade; it is time to wake up, invest in science and technology, support EU businesses and protect them to compete with China. I also propose that the European Commission reform the legislation, which cannot wait for the absolute consensus of all 27 countries before becoming law – this is a step backward for Europe and a stifling of European power – and it needs to be repealed.
