I met him at a little library in North Dallas. He was fantastic and listened to me, in the rain. I feel like we can finally get there with Talerico. We were so close with Beto. I'm a staunch Catholic myself (Mass & communion every week). I personally don't believe in abortion BUT I also believe that abortion should be legal because I don't have the right to impose my own personal beliefs on everyone else. I'm glad however that James Talarico was more measured & explanatory in his answer than I would have been.

As an agnostic, I do not have issues with Christians per se...it is the hypocrisy that just blows my mind. The mental gymnastics it takes to claim you're pro-life but in favor of the barbaric and vile practice of the death penalty; to claim that you protect women's dignity, while supporting a serial rapist as "president;" to say you help the poor yet you support candidates who voted to slash SNAP and Medicaid (the list goes on and on) says it all...<br><br>Christians only care about retaining political power...they don't give a damn about the people their policies impact. Im confused as to how Prolife voters cant see past the baby's birth... Ok ,, baby is born... thus it has 2 possible paths... the mom will try to raise it which could go alright but if the mom was forced to deliver the baby then statistically that child is not going to have the best life if raised by the mother... or the 2nd path is foster care / adoption... Both little boys & little girls are likely to be SA'd in the foster care system 3 out of 5.. and dont get me started on physical abuse... So unless a prolifer is willing to financially support every child that they 'safe' & guarantee them a good or even semi-good life, then they do not truly care about that life they are 'saving'.. Child services is always understaffed & underfunded.. i think ever prolifer should volunteer for at least 1 year at social services in an area where they could see 1st hand the life most children live in the foster care or child services system

I didn't see the full event. The point was these were GOP leaning voters asking questions in place of having Paxton here? The questions were contrarian of Talarico's positions (which creates good format). But were any questioners neutral inquisitive or were they mostly "explain yourself" type questions? Appreciate any answers.

I have study his conventions and idea along with Paxton and maybe Paxton isnt perfect and the crap about money he says about Paxton i can not find. But Paxton beleifs are not disturbing and against Israel and against the Bible! Do not fall for these flat out lies+!!

As a Catholic, I will say this: WE ARE NOT ONE ISSUE VOTERS! It has been stated by the US bishops, and even by the late Pope Francis. Reducing voting to one issue is not a Catholic thing. God bless. Radical traditionalist will make it seem like this is the norm, but it is NOT. Official, mainstream, Catholic teaching does not endorse single issue voting. A single issue may legitimately disqualify a candidate for some Catholics, but is is not a rule as this lady made it seem. Catholics can vote for pro-abortion candidates as long as that is not their intent, or the reason they vote for them. There are legitimate issues that a Catholic's conscience can justify the reason to vote for such a candidate whether that be aid to the poor, rejection of laissez-faire capitalism, more welcoming to immigrants, ending wars and endorsing diplomacy and multilateralism, equal civil rites for all peoples, environmentally friendly policies, AI restrictions, etc. No one American political party perfectly encapsulates Catholic Social Teaching! So by voting GOP you would also be violating all those things which are frequently rejected by the party, and violate Catholic teaching. Catholics can be and vote Democrat or Republican. This Catholic will be voting blue and is a proud fully pro-life Catholic, from the womb to the tomb. And thats why I am also a proud Democrat, despite not entirely agreeing with the party, but I sure agree with them more than the GOP.
