Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Monday it was clear that Russia would not agree to stop hitting energy targets, after US President Donald Trump unilaterally announced a deal between the warring nations. "It is increasingly evident that Russia is unwilling to accept an energy ceasefire proposed by the United States," Zelensky said on social media. FRANCE 24's Selina Sykes reports.

Actually clever of Zelenskyy to turn the Trump energy ceasefire against Putin!

Equivalent of two weeks' diesel imports from Canada in that "deal" ... if ever delivered, beside the potash from Belarus

Ukrainian army use big double barrel 30 mil. machine guns to shout drones out of the sky. But drones/missiles don't always explode in the air, they fall anywhere in the city. What does Russia has to gain from wasting ammo on civilian buildings? Most of it is poor air-defence.

Russia doesn't want a Ukrainian re-armament cease fire. Russia wants a serious deal, something the western "for as long as it takes' and 'to the last Ukrainian' war hawks refuse.

the russians flat out said they are not interested in a cease fire, not that talks on a cease fire a re ongoing. they said all they are interested in is a successful end to the war, which means they get parts of Ukraine and get to keep the parts they invaded and stole.

There is no ceasefire of any kind. Just another Trump lie.
