Widely inappropriate and dangerous to make an assumption of tying your relationship status to world events
Trevor...you articulate this so well...this is me, love food, biggest food critic, hate cooking, have no desire to get better <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0hre6S4LKc&t=2685">44:45</a>
I think Josh Jonson is the GOAT in using politics and making it funny. Even though you guys already have concentration camps and they are going to make the homeless slaves instead of helping them. I can’t understand how a country can do things like this against their citizens…<br>This is the last stage you guys have to stop it. If you don’t, we’ll probably be at war soon. But the US have switched sides already…<br>You guys understand that this is going to happen soon. (All these thoughts are mine and mine alone.)
I could enjoy the process until I lost my kids. That's the one thing I couldn't withstand.
Wait, what kind of church does Trevor attend to have real alcohol for communion?
The hosts is simply hilarious. Love their friendship
I think this is my favorite episode to date,,,I absolutely love how you two build on each other,,,my face is sore from grinning,,,thank you Trevor, you help me survive this challenging world we find ourselves in❣️👍🏽😍
Good conversation 👌 👏 😌
Josh your mum should be most proud 👏 🥲 🥰
Loved this conversation. Josh is a whole gem.
Not sure, but did Josh say, 'Malta, is that a chocolate?' Hahaha. As someone from that island, I never heard that before, but that was so funny! I've been following Trevor and Josh for a long time, and I loved the conversation you had today.
You and Josh are two of my favorite humans in the world.
This was great, two legends!! Josh is the sweetest!! Trevor is so funny and so extraordinary intelligent especially when he goes into different languages in other videos and on the daily show, love it! I to watch everything Josh puts out and he’s also extremely intelligent, polite and hope to see him again soon!! I love the fact he never drank, great role model. Lastly my favorite bit is Josh’s friend that wants to go to the seminary and they take him to a strip club to make sure (not josh’s idea btw) watch it!! Theres one line that i literally cry from laughter, I’m not going to spoil it though! Great guys here!! ❤❤❤
I love and adore this interview!
Josh does 80% of the talking in any podcast or interview I’ve ever seen him on 😅
Early Josh and early Trevor were the funniest
Richard Pryor, absolutely. He was ~40 years ahead of mainstream catching up. There were (to me boring) comedians in the late 90s still doing the 1950s shtick "isn't it weird when you see a woman and she's... doing a thing you normally see a man doing! hahaha!", but who were extremely popular because what Richard Pryor was doing hadn't been fully absorbed by the main stream yet. I was told growing up "this is funny" but I never 'got' the joke.
I think the first guy to do standup about real stuff was Will Rogers.
I love a comedian who is a thinker. I over think everything, so it's hilarious when I hear the actually FUNNY things that I think and overthink, PLUS the things that make sense to me . <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0hre6S4LKc&t=1042">17:22</a> This is why these comedians resonate to me.
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0hre6S4LKc&t=1230">20:30</a> 😂 we ride @ dawn!
Ahhhh, I Needed This...😌❤❤ Finding the Hope.
My favorite two comedians Josh and Trevor! Aside from the fact that I think they're the funniest, I honestly think these two are truly kind souls, humble, and very intelligent. Trevor's impressions and accents are the best and Josh's interpretations of the way he sees the world is hilarious!
Brilliant minds and informative realities. 👏🏽👏🏽
I love me some Josh very humble man.
People are Multifaceted beings. You cannot see one thing, and think you have seen it all or all of a person. I looked up Josh Johnson. I saw his early beginnings and his current day works, but I still cannot say I know him. I know he has various comedy styles, but I don't know him, know him.
My friend knowledge and person is the fact of plloticks..man led the people and state ..thanks I like you ..God blease both of them ..have a good evening..Assalamoalykom its my salam personal for you ..
I was looking for the Trevor Noah And Josh Johnson interview. ❤
❤❤❤😂😂😂 Josh IS KNUMCHUCK!!😂😂😂
Trevor that point!! Comedy enables you to speak of the inconsistencies of the world in a way that is not offensive; we laugh 😂 but we think🤔
Great show
Nunchucks are defensive weapons. Use them to block or parry a baton, and beat dat ass 😂
Brilliantly Done. ❤❤❤ God Bless Each Of You 🧸🧸🧸
Loved this!!!
Josh is so lucky to have had a great childhood and not one that was so bad you get into alcohol way, way, way before it's legal and use it to just blank out awful thoughts, feelings, experiences and memories.
Ha ! Watching while actually knitting socks! 😅
@<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0hre6S4LKc&t=4155">1:09:15</a> <br>Trevor saying: Did we turn to comedy because we see the inconsistences of the world? <br>Or if part of comedy helps you process these inconsistences. <br><br>Never would have thought: <br>I should become a comedian.💡<br><br>Because alike many with high pattern recognition or noticing and living life outside of the default setting of expected behaviours, the inconsistences are kinda driving me crazy but it seems to be the precursor to being a really good comedian which is just a very vivid storyteller of Life and humanity. <br><br>My brain is on serotonin for 99% clean but incredibly deep, fascinating conversation between you all, so thank you immensely. <a href="UCkszU2WH9gy1mb0dV-11UJg/dv90XtfhAurw8gTgzar4DA"></a><br>PS: Adding chapters in your videos would be great for accessibility and to share certain segments to others much easier too.
“[Our] legacy is to build and to break.” 🤯
As someone who has given sketchy food a second chance due to money. Somebody who loves books, comics and movies. Josh's coolness and success is in finding and helping you picture everyday struggles and choices. Wish i could have attended / afforded to go to your Toronto show. Trevor is similarly cool. Really all 3 of you. Thank you for showing us how to be better.
I'm so happy about this conversation <br>Greetings from Germany
Loved Josh Johnson early on watching him with his dashiki, short hair to his afro and his attempt at weight lifting! DUDE IS SERIOUSLY 1 OF THE FUNNIEST COMEDIANS EVER!
Josh Johnson nunchuck user… Bahahaaaaaaaaaa! Trevor your impression of Josh had me choking on my tea!!!😂😂😂😂😂❤🙏
Josh…your Bot convo made me go “.ooooooh! “ and breathe a HUGE sigh of relief! THANKYOU!!!
Josh has a point about being GOATS to different people for different reasons. And truly I think that all three of you are my GOATS for TOTALLY different reasons. This conversation is brilliant for me for this reason. Love you all ❤🙏❤
Um no, Mr Johnson. Ask the obscene numbers of truly innocent women whose boyfriends said "Oh honey, I'm going to run in here for just a minute-- I'll be right back." and they end up knocking over a liquor store or pulling a pill heist at the pharmacy or a smash and grab at jeweler's and their girlfriends who were literally none the wiser, are very much stuck in penitentiaries.<br>But Josh I like your optimism.
Josh is my favorite comedian and I'm old enough to have seen plenty. I've been to two of his live shows. If he comes to my city again, I know to grab a ticket before the show sells out.
Such a terrific podcast! Thanks!
Deep and thoughtful conversation. Thanks for sharing it.
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0hre6S4LKc&t=2874">47:54</a> yall are talking about rule of attraction. If you can focus and feel outcome while doing the process, you bring on the outcome easier and find more joy in the process
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0hre6S4LKc&t=1940">32:20</a> what you just said is how I've felt all through hs (I was popular but never at the parties or trouble) and college (I partied a lot and would sometimes leave the party on a hunch right before the cops showed up). I have always felt that I was sort of left out, but then inbound hear about how it was a good thing i was
"Both ARE happening. everyone IS everything." very few people seem to be aware of this. and that's why other people can tell us who we are.
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0hre6S4LKc&t=3135">52:15</a> ".. if everyone is okay, fewer people are rich". 😮
Eugene goes after Trevor hard
I pay for ad free premium service so stop inserting ads. This is fraud and I will stop my membership.
Josh is more correct than you know. The cotton candy machine was invented by a dentist. Definitely suspicious. 🤔
A belated thank you to Trevor Noah for broadcasting during Covid lockdown. I enjoyed your singing even if your neighbors didn't. You, Seth Myers, and Stephen Colbert helped me get through Covid.
The nunchuk sounds😂😂😂
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0hre6S4LKc&t=4176">1:09:36</a> 😊
Very good talk! So many golden nuggets!!
I loved this conversation ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Absolutely wonderful episode. I loved it. Keep up the good work men! You give hope to an old lady not long for this world, but who leaves grandchildren younger than you all and children older than you all, behind. ❤👏🏻👏🏻
Josh, I swear you're the Buddha. The genius and light emanating from this podcast is brilliant! Thank you all for who you are and what you're doing.
Just recently discovered Josh Johnson. So glad to know there is a rising generation of comedians who are out there. He got me with his reflections on Canada. I've for real LOL listening to his Taco Bell Canada bit. Hahahahaha! He got our number when he called us polite but not nice. Hahahahaha!
Fantastic!😅🤣😂
Josh you make me happy . Like now in South Africa the time is 03h00 on Monday. I’m going through divorce but just opening my tablet and so you you made me smile and forget about my problems
One of the most powerful quotes I have ever heard/read — <b>"I think when your life is over, when everything is done, the only real measure of a man is what you build and what you break.</b> And so I'd like to build up a lot of good-will things that I think people still have in them but they just don't exist as much just for free in the Ether, and I'd like to break some ideas that people have of each other; even though that's going to be hard because the algorithm doesn't aid in those things. The same way you think you can use a politician and they're using you, I think algorithms work the same way..."<br>—Josh Johnson <i>(What Now? podcast - Josh Johnson: Finding Meaning In A System Built To Fracture You)</i><br><br>He is such a kind, genuine person that shit like this is what brings me to tears every Tuesday.
Dang, Josh is just brilliant. His genius blows me away. 😊
Listening <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0hre6S4LKc&t=1963">32:43</a> - Josh - I absolutely hear you. It’s just an odd feeling. In my life I’ve even had varying degrees of survivor’s guilt
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0hre6S4LKc&t=2482">41:22</a> Eugene mara😂😂
I’m certain the lollipop was sugar free. 🦷 🪥 😂
So weird, but I had a vivid dream about Josh last night. Maybe I’m watching too much YouTube??
I tried to get tickets to his Ohio shows...THEY ARE ALL SOLD OUT!
Okay, so… Only 10/5min in and…<br>I don’t usually watch podcasts, only the clips shared on YT shorts or reels of social media. Watching ppl have a conversation that you’re not a part of is 🥱😵💫😮💨🥱🫥<br><br>I prefer traditional Q&A if I am to watch/listen… But I’m sure being a part of the conversation was a good time.<br><br>I’ll stick to catching the clips.
A few weeks ago the YT algorithm pointed me towards Josh and I am so happy about that. I consumed so much of his content and was able to make it to a live show in Toronto. He’s a star. Not an up and coming star, but a true gem of a human being. 💜
We love you Josh ❤😊🫡🤛🏽🔥
"even sociopaths only have so much muscle"
Aww Josh. That fro wasn't the best, but it looked like a halo😇 2me😍😄 Luv this conversation. Informative&hilarious🥰
Amazing how self-actualized Josh is at such a young age. Sweet.
Trevor, your discussions are the most moving conversations I have heard in the world of podcasts.
Josh's hands! I'm obsessed with his looong slender expressive fingers. So beautiful! Like a pianist or a guitar player...
Mannnn whole foods is whole paycheck... for one dumb appetizer.
This was awsome!! You' guys are DEEP! Have to pat attention or you will miss something. This was way kewl!!!!!
Trevor imitating Josh = Mitch Hedberg 😂<br><br>I love this episode the most because you guys are the kindest and this showcases that so well.
Bad criminals😂
I remember the Nunchaku ban brought on by the popularity of Bruce Lee in 1973, when everybody was getting them…including me. In fact, I STILL have a pair 😃
you can really replace "comedian" with "neurodivergent" or "autistic" for a lot of this and it fits perfectly lol
Trevor looks like a character out of a 1960s movie
Truly enjoyed the show with Josh Johnson ❤
You're making sense.
This was so good. Great perspectives that I was nodding with. Yeah, I crochet, and Trevor brought up people who knit (know that is like saying Q-Tip) and it is just relaxing until you want to try making something new. <br><br>I loved this interview/banter. Josh is so smart and I always said he was like Trevor being so "worldly". I absolutely listened to every word said. I loved this. FYI, have Eugene in my saved list for an interview he did. He is, also, very worldly and has great thoughts.
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0hre6S4LKc&t=2687">44:47</a> will always be hilarious to me.
Patton Oswalt made the attempted murder joke
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0hre6S4LKc&t=1880">31:20</a> The way how i imagine it is like when Sam McPherson tells Dewey Cox "No Dewey, you don't want this shit, Get outta here!"
34m02s: For anybody who identifies with Josh at that point, you will enjoy this chap:<br><a href="https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ZyeB-MsBT8E">https://youtube.com/shorts/ZyeB-MsBT8E?si=jK4bUQVyLNGACoPV</a><br><br>That is just one of Fake Parkour. There is plenty more out there.
It’s kinda unnerving that Eugene seems to have thought deeply about it🤣😅
Why are their so many Josh Johnson recording on tv where someone has recorded him by cell phone? Does he know?
"it's like anitmantium in black panther"<br><br>Oh the nerds are coming for you now
It's really funny to advertise whole foods as affordable, that's like the one thing they aren't
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0hre6S4LKc&t=4440">1:14:00</a> this is the first time i've heard someone else say they notice he did that. the primary time i remember is when he said, "oh! they liked that" -- working his "set" out in real time
In reference to the money/happiness part, research odds pretty consistent that for most people income and happiness increase together to a point (around $100k in US). Past that point there are rapidly diminishing returns on happiness.
Great Comedy all three of you....keep up the good work!❤❤❤
