It is not Putin's election. It is an election for the lower house of the Russian legislature DUMA. However the United Russia Party gets the majority of votes. Usually the Communist Party of Russia becomes the official opposition. After that there may be 2 or 3 parties that cross the 5% threshold, just like in other countries. It would be too much to ask TVP to give the correct information. TVP is invested in counter narrative. There is an unbelievable amount of intentional misinformation from the western media with the goal of keeping people uninformed. Whatever TVP presents is only half the truth, the other half you need to find from other sources. Don't accept only one source if you really care to know and understand.
