China has experienced less widespread religious extremism than some Middle Eastern countries because of its distinct historical culture, strong central government, and different relationship between religion and political authority. Chinese civilization developed through traditions such as Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism, without one religious institution consistently dominating the state. Since 1949, the government has maintained strict control over organized religion, limiting the ability of religious movements to become independent political forces. China's relatively stable central institutions have also made it harder for armed extremist groups to exploit state collapse and prolonged civil wars, as happened in parts of the Middle East. However, China has not been free of religious extremism or ethnic and religious tensions, and its heavy-handed security policies have raised serious human-rights concerns. The broader lesson is that extremism depends not only on religious beliefs but also on political institutions, historical traditions, social grievances, armed conflict, and how governments manage religious diversity.

Amen.”<br>The serious point behind the joke is that AI genocide is not an inevitable outcome of superintelligence. The real concern is whether increasingly capable AI systems might pursue dangerous goals, operate beyond effective human control, or be deliberately misused. That&#39;s why safety, accountability, and meaningful human oversight need to be built into AI development before systems become more powerful—not after.

Iran is thinking about attacking the U.S. even now; if they had nuclear weapons, they would have used them already, but President Donald Trump prevented that. Currently, Iran and the Houthis are attacking oil facilities belonging to U.S. allies as well as U.S. military bases, yet we have not yet retaliated; however, once Iran&#39;s oil wells are destroyed, the situation will return to normal, just as it was before.

Trump stopped Iran&#39;s military from fighting, but allows Iran to continue fighting through its proxy Houtis. That makes a lot of sense. Now Trump has promised to not bomb Iran again, until after the elections. That gives Iran a wide open playing field. Trump isn&#39;t very smart.
