Argentina let Messi leave on his own terms but yet Portugal failed Ronaldo and had him quit on their terms. They’re both goats might not see this again stop comparing their greatness and enjoy them.
He should have retired somewhere between 2022-24 <br><br>2 wasted WC opportunities for his country, because he just wasn't up to the level it takes
The snake Craig burnley isn’t around so nobody was negative. That loser would’ve found a way to bash Ronaldo. Thank god Ronaldo is better than him in every way
i supported Portugal just because of Ronaldo, now that he wont play again, i wont be supporting them anymore, not that i dont like them but i dont like them.
I guess ESPN pundits are happy and jubilating now. You have criticized and blamed him for every single thing he does in the national team. The hates, envyness and badmouth from you is now over. Shameless people now talking as if they were there for him.
"No one is gonna talk about the last 2 words cups"<br><br>We will always remember the documentary how he used a clip of Messi after losing a world cup final to Germany.<br><br>We will remember
Thank you Christiano...you played ball like crazy giving us many moments to cherish.<br><br>Continue on with your club career and leave numbers only aliens can think of emulating
He retired a long time ago. He has not really played any football in like last 15 years. He barely had any touches on the ball this WC and prior ones too. He stood near the goal hoping for easy pickings and team mates to hand him the ball. So yeah he retired a long time ago. He was there for social media and photo op in the field. On the positive side, Portugal gets a new start, strategy, younger players and Ramos will finally have a spot in the team.
Look how they tried to bring in Ronaldo vs Messi. Thank you for shutting it down. Respect. This channel is Messi fanboy, and they are bias. It has so much potential
Fck u guys<br><br>Can’t even read his entire message talking about “condense it” you bakas tried to condense his whole career with lies and misinformation because your channel favors someone else
Remember these two faced people, the same news channel are the same ones who wanted him to retire 5 years ago. The wat they are changing colors is embarrassing. "you get to choose when you retire and shouldnt be judged for it". Oh please, you were crying on the floor for him to retire, putting headlines, your ignorant narratives, the way you slandered him week in week out. We never forget!
@ESPNFC trying to be respectful but the fact is that Ronaldo did not have a single outstanding tournament individually AND he won ONE proper tournament with Portugal, not 3.<br>Even before Messi won the world cup, he had already won multiple player of the tournament titles. Other players considered lesser than Cristiano like Forlan, Modric, Mbappe, James Rodriguez, Rodri had outstanding tournaments but Ronaldo has had none despite 12 attempts.
Now I can support Portugal lmao. You think this is the end of Ronaldo… no this is only the beginning of the end lol. Now when Portugal wins trophies without him, Pendu will come back to the headlines and the world will all see that this penalty farming camel from Arabia was always the problem, and then his legacy will be tarnished even more than how bad it is now. Unlike Messi, who retired as the GOAT
Without WC he is in category of Cruyff and de’stefano etc.<br>For now only 3 to be in GOAT debate is Messi, Pele and Maradona. <br>In any sports to be considered as greatest you have to win it’s biggest prize. <br>10-15 years down the line he would just be a top 10 players for everyone. <br>Maradona’s record is nothing compared to these guys but only reason he is in the debate is because if his WC heroics and trophy….you can not deny the fact no matter what.
Have some shame and keep your mouth shut , all his carrier ESPN has been nothing but a presstitude for promoting Ronaldo hate and peddling false news . Most 3rd class sports media ever to exist.
<b>Ronaldo:</b><br><br>6 WC, 0 POTT.<br><br>Even Modrić won the WC Golden Ball with Croatia as a midfielder.<br><br>6 Euros, 0 POTT.<br><br>Even Donnarumma won it as a goalkeeper.<br><br>4 UEFA Nations League, 0 POTT.<br><br>Even Nuno Mendes won it with the same Portugal team as a defender. <br><br>Overrated is an understatement.
He already got a proper send-off when he got in his plane with the captain band on and abandoned his team….bye. You won’t be missed. You’ve been in the way since midway through your time at Juventus.
Cr7 was not a CF for Madrid! He always played LW with a free role and placed himself in the box at the perfect moments! You can go back and rewatch any game Ronaldo only played CF for a few games for Madrid and wasn’t very good at it!
well, one thing is for sure, whenever he retires for good (as well as Messi) it will slow down and eventually stop the media machine, and all the pundits inflating the value of their stats will be gone (no more money to be made) <br>The numbers will fade (ask Pele and his 1K + goals) and all you are left is with how you really impacted the game, on the field. Highlights (in our era) will be the only thing left, and no amount of penalty goals and stats will make future generations remember you…I mean once you see a penalty you see them all, am I right? <br>Forget Ballon D’Or, Boat, stats, all that 🐂💩<br>TIME puts the greats where they deserve to be, and any recognition (or lack there of) will be accurate, and it will come to this guy, and to the other, in proper amounts.
