Well that's Ronaldo out of the goat debate, he will never be the goat now... He only won one major trophy and 2 friendlies trophies, remember... everyone said Messi NEEDED a world cup to be the goat, let's keep the same energy...
Cristiano on a top nation would have been devastating to football just like he was in the UCL we thank him for everything he has done for football! There would never be another like him, top scorer of champions league quarterfinals, semifinals and finals each of all time! Most winning goals in football history! Small nation Portugal first trophy in history of existence! When Ronaldo joined Madrid in 2009/10 the last time they got to a UCL quarterfinal was 2003/04, semifinals was 2002/03 and final was 2001/02 , when Ronaldo joined in 2009/10 they got to the semifinals 8 times in a row! Won 4 champions leagues titles in a row! The season Ronaldo left and nothing else changed Real Madrid didn’t get to quarterfinals for the first time in 8 years 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐 wish he was born to a bigger nation so he could’ve won multiple world cups like Pele did because that is the standard for generational talent on top nations! There was another great who got to 3 finals with his top nation but only won 1 like Khedira but that’s another topic, back to Cristiano(🐐🐐)! He did great for his small nation! He maxxed out what a player can do for a small nation! We appreciate you and would miss the brilliance and greatness of you everytime you put on your football boots! YOU ARE FOOTBALL! I thank you 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
Ronaldo:

6 WC, 0 POTT.

Even Modrić won the WC Golden Ball with Croatia as a midfielder.

6 Euros, 0 POTT.

Even Donnarumma won it as a goalkeeper.

4 UEFA Nations League, 0 POTT.

Even Nuno Mendes won it with the same Portugal team as a defender.

Overrated is an understatement.
Legacy - Came 3rd a group with Hungary Austria and Iceland. Played Poland, Wales, Croatia on the way to Euro Final. Coached players from Bench in final. That's his "Portugal" legacy. Unless you count Nations league, but let's be serious now.
Before CR , Portugal qualified for 3 WC and 3 EC in all their history ...with CR7 they qualified to everything possible and won 3 trophies. Enough said.
Shaka the conversation will continue until cr7 comes out publicly to say to his fans that messi is better.. everybody respects him.. even neymar says cr7 is better than him so cr7 should say messi is better. That's how he shows respect
Nobody will remember.. but you saying it on espn platform and it stays forever.. in the future when we look it up to see what espn said, we will hear it from you

Ronaldo is a Legend Forever. One of the greatest, and that status was built on a mountain of dedication, courage, and creativity, and deep love for the sport and country. Salud, brother. Go on living your best life.
Espn stop lying, u start to praise him when he retired but if he still playing u guys always look down on him , always say he should retire frim football coz he old, liar liar liar ,u guys are happy that he retired shame on u espn pundits.
In the war between Messi and Ronaldo I firmly believe Messi is the greater player. However, Cristiano did something all of the Portuguese greats before him couldnt in winning a major honor by carrying the country. Bravo on an amazing international career
World football has been destroyed after ten balon dor's between them 🤣...while players more deserving like kante ,salah del piero, Iniesta gets to keep none 🤣..what a mockery of a show and now there will be a revolution of new players hopefully. If any defender's shadow moves past them referee points to penalty and then a red card 🤣 .
In the last world cup a legitimate goal by hassan haitham was ruled out because they and you cannot stand the fact egypt actually knocked mesi and team...🌹
Top scorer in internationals, top 3 leagues and the CL. Just to put it in context, R9 can play his career twice ans still not catch CR7. No one comes close. These two are like Federer and Djokovic.
Great player, definitely top 10 of all time, but the comparison w Messi is and has always been absurd. Anybody who knows football can see clearly that Messi is on a different planet to Ronaldo, and in terms of class off the pitch it’s not even a conversation - Ronaldo is a whiny man-child who refuses to accept that he’s been mediocre for at least 5 years, while Messi was in the top 5 of the ballon d’or voting as a 39 year old. Just completely different levels
‘ no answer is the wrong answer ‘ can we stop lying , Messi’s unbelievably superior , no footballer is ever close to Messi and it shows someone’s level on intelligence if you’ve watched these last 15 years and don’t think Messi’s the best
Cristiano should respect the number 7 before him in Figo, because you weren't cr7 for Portugal for 23 years, I remember watching Cristiano in the 2004 euros and 2006 world cup as 17, so you're right Cris its not your number, it belongs to Portugal
The Ronaldo and Messi conversation has been OVER since 2022 December!!!
But because this antifootball negative blabbering disgrace of a program is a BROKEN RECORD ON REPLAY, it will come up and up and up, do better ESPN FC!!!
This program needs a Blue Tsunami so garbage can be taken out.🤢🤮🤮🤮
Have to disagree with the panelists. I think unfortunately history will remember the acrimonious departure from the national team. You can't mention Ronaldo's retirement without that in mind as one event seems to have forced the other although his otherwise legendary career SHOULD overshadow that.
