It's amazing the mentality of journalists in western Europe and along with this presenter that seems to advocate that the US is the big daddy with all power and Russia is the evil Cain that western Europe needs to protect itself from , further with big daddy's help all will be overcome and fairy dairy land will prervail. How many “investments” have Americans made in Russia since long before the Russian Revolution that never panned out, were never repaid, starting with the Communists just seizing all U.S. properties during the Bolshevik Revolution, on up through history? Even in the Lend/Lease period of World War Two, Americans helped build RU oil refineries and sent food when Russia was starving! They never paid us back.<br>Then in the nineties, American businesses poured into Russia after the Wall came down, investing billions of dollars. As an American who has followed our politics for more years than most of you have been alive, I will give an informed opinion on what happens next with Trump. The GOP will still control Congress until the end of January 2027. However, they know that Trump is an egotistical fool whom they allowed to wreck their party by passively going along with his disastrously stupid and corrupt policies. They were afraid to make him angry but now they have nothing to fear because the voters completely repudiated him and them. It's now to their political advantage to support policies the voters endorsed. The voters want an end to the ugly rhetoric and divisions between Republicans and Democrats. They want to end the war with Iran. They want access to affordable healthcare They want to stop Trump from supporting Russia, something most Republicans believe is wrong. You can bet that Ukraine will be in close contact with members of both parties to work on how the US can step up and help Ukraine defend itself. The calls very likely started today. Then in February, the Democratic leadership will immediately begin to implement their plans to stop Trump's lunacy and they will have bipartisan support on Ukraine. They will initiate impeachment of Hegseth if Trump hasn't already fired him and blamed him for the failed Iran war. Trump's influence is coming to an end.

T rump reflects a small minority, but we should not forget how the Supreme Court enabled his immunity and more money in politics and they are still around. Some of them are corrupt and they could be there for years. The whole system has not been flushed out.
T rump already said he wants to work with the dems and don't want to just sit there for two years using a veto. But you never know. He could wake up differently tomorrow.
