Iran's supreme leader has renewed his criticism of the United States.
This comes as Tehran is signalling defiance towards Washington following the midterm elections.
There has been reaction on the streets of Iran.
Protesters have dismissed any distinction between Democrats and Republicans, saying neither party will change the US approach toward Iran.
They have also portrayed the outcome as a victory for the Islamic Republic.
Al Jazeera’s Resul Serdar reports from Tehran, Iran.

Wrong.. The people of the US are not saying no to war because of the cost of living. Only Trump and his MAGA followers want it. The rest of us are tired of war and the governments that endlessly fight each other. It's pathetic. When will ALL PEOPLE of ALL NATIONS stand up and tell their leaders to get along with the rest of the world or leave office. We are tired of fighting over land, religion, skin color, and and anything else that stupid people go to war over. The people are not warmongers, it's the governments that are the real warmongers. Nuff said!
Just reminding
Do you all remember who invaded Libya and kill Great Muammar Gaddafi,,, i think he was a Democratic flag bearer, they are all the same,, regardless is Democrats or Republicans
It's the defeat of Trump ...a set back for republicans...a personal loss for the president which we are all happy for..but our prayers are for Iran.....we don't forget for a moment how children were bombed to death..how Supreme leader and his family was assassinated....the revenge is still awaiting....the political setback.of Trump and Netanyahu doesn't wipe out the SINS they have committed in Palestine..Iran or lebanon.....we agree with Mojtaba khamenei😢
Whether left or right its all from the same tree. Demo has been doing this for decades only difference is repb does it loud. America has to burn that book of genocide n economic crusade before it can change. Plus the world has open it eyes to the humanity terrorism, the funding of terrorism n economic terrorism America does to the world.
Trump is still president and the US congress and courts are historically unwilling to enforce Article I, Section 8, Clause 11 of the US constitution. That means the war will likely go on.
He's not wrong. USA is a corporation masquerading as a country.
Americans are cash cattle masquerading as free people, but their government is controlled by Oligarchs whose sole interest is not American people, but profits.
The truth? Russia is an imperial fascist state. China is a totalitarian state. N. Korea is just a monarchal cultist state. Iran is is a religio-fascist state just as Israel is. The American govt. has a long way to go to make up for all the damage it has done over decades of trauma but it is capable of doing so because the citizens are capable of doing so. We can find fault in anyone and in any nation but can't we find the humanity and potential for grace too?
When you have no convincing answers for unemployment, rising food and electricity prices, unaffordable housing, worsening inequality, failing public healthcare, corruption, collapsing public services or stagnant wages, you change the subject. Instead of addressing why ordinary people are struggling to make ends meet, you manufacture outrage, exploit people's fears and find minorities, immigrants or outsiders to blame.
It is a convenient political distraction: turn social issues into cultural battles, make minorities the centre of public anxiety and encourage people to fight one another rather than question those responsible for the decisions affecting their lives.
But scapegoating doesn't create jobs, lower food prices, build houses, fix hospitals or improve people's lives.
