in 2015-2016, the haze level were bad but interestingly there were very little problems with haze during past 7 years. could it be due to different leadership in our neighbour? people behave differently under different leadership due to interesting but unknown reasons.

Bloody inept ministers. Still justify pay increase?! Our PAP politicians are never pro-active and pre-empt problems beforehand... instead they are always reactionary. React after the fact, and thus too slow to act. Damage is already caused. Citizens' health are already affected. Then slowly act after the damage is done. Secondly, the PAP prioritizes monetary gains more than the welfare, health and safety of its citizens: they rather the people suffer than to accept some economic loss from school closures and business closures. Inept government.

The haze situation is not new, it's been close to 30 years and the govt did not do and will never do anything about it, the worst one was around 300 PSI in 1997. The ones linked to those companies they've identified will never be released because it will destroy their diplomatic relationships, the most you're gonna get are all Indonesia counterparts responsible, that's about it.

This year 2026, Singapore has the worst haze ever...
I am in my sixties.. Haze was never new to Singapore , it been tormenting Singaporean for more than 10 years, perhaps even longer as far as I can remembered ...

Every years , when the haze come, all 3 countries( Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia) governments will come together and start fingers pointing .
In the end, what had they achieved ?
In the next coming year, the same will happen again , haze come, 3 countries come together again and start their NATO talk again.

We been experiencing haze for at least 1 or even 2 decades , why the 3 governments could not come out with a concrete solution to solve this serious environmental pollution ?

& yet our government been telling us to be eco-friendly, save the environment, recycle our plastic bottles ...

& when come to a major environment issue like a deliberate forest fire , no government can come out with a solution ?

What a shame 😔

If this happen in China, I strongly believe China will get it solve within 5 years...
