Singapore outlines haze precautions to protect students and school children

Preschools will remain open even if schools close in the event of 24-hour Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) readings reaching hazardous levels, Education Minister Desmond Lee said on Friday at a news conference (Oct 16).

While MOE will consider closing schools and transitioning to home-based learning for younger students from preschools up to secondary school should the 24-hour PSI forecast for the next day hit hazardous levels, some preschools will remain open so as to support parents who cannot work from home or who cannot find alternative arrangements for their children. #haze #singapore #sgnews
