The biennial Paris Motor Show officially opened this Monday in France. Over 200 auto sector brands will be present, rivalling for attention with their latest models and innovations. This competition for attention mirrors the competition for market share. This is especially true between local European brands and Chinese ones which have seen their sales surge on the continent over the past ten years – prompting accusations of unfair competition. Report by Charles Pellegrin, FRANCE 24’s business editor.

To me brands like Audi are just “old man” brands, great cars but too old school and out dated, very 90’s vibes.

There is no doubt that Europe has fallen behind in every aspect and can only make sarcastic remarks about Chinese cars now. Soaring energy costs, outdated product designs, and high prices... who would be willing to buy them?

There has to be corruption at the highest level in Europe. How can they allow China to flood your market and compete against their struggling manufacturer. In the US, Even the democrats who whole heartly hate Trump agree with him in not allowing Chinese EV in the US market.

It’s not lower labor cost. It’s Europe fantasy of defeating Russia in the last 6 yrs and driving expensive energy cost and lack of innovation. Still stay at the fuel technology
