Saudi doesn't have the guts for a ground offensive against the Huthies. Since the Americans have refused to bail them out, Trump not risking boots on the ground either, their only and final resort is to negotiate a truce with the Iranians, including paying for permission to ship their oil out of Hormuz. This applies to Kuwait, Qatar and UAE equally.

Let us be totally honest about the Saudi military.
They are totally useless soldiers that are very poorly trained and with no stomach to engage in a ground fight against the Houthis at all.
The Saudi ground forces are mainly there to protect the Saudi royal family against enemies within and not to fight any foreign forces at all, no matter how poorly equipped that foreign force is with hardware.
There are also VERY strong doubts about the bravery of the Saudi forces and most think they will quickly throw their weapons away and run as fast as they can as soon as they are fired on.
Most soldiers that have some knowledge about the Saudi army see them as more of a joke than anyone would fear fighting against.

And this is why Saudi Arabia is so extremely desperate for help from whoever they can convince to come to their aid.

Iran’s slipping hold on Hormuz under the hammer of US strikes drives Tehran to hurl its hardest proxies forward; Saudi Arabia’s battered infrastructure and shrinking oil lifelines answer with strained resistance; the Houthis’ Red Sea seizure and Iraqi‑militia surge swing the whole theatre toward the Bab al‑Mandeb and the Suez in a single savage turn; and that turn lands with consequence as Iran’s AI‑sharpened, adviser‑guided auxiliaries press outward across chokepoints that bind the region’s trade, testing every rival’s reach and resolve.
