'I miss my girl. I miss Delaney'

I was 15 when my 10 year old brother passed. I witnessed my mum wailing, kicking and screaming until her body gave out. That loss is unthinkable. Our brains are not built to sustain such pain. It took her 9 years to tell me she had healed, not fully but enough to know she had to carry on for the sake of my brother, herself and me. I’m glad she did.<br>I love my brother, always will. Grief is a small word, there will never be words that define such an explosion of pain.<br>God bless anyone going through this

Its been 22 years now since the loss my little girl. We were so happy in those days and now my first thoughts of her bring tears. I was unprepared for the situation that took her from me. Her loss was devastating and my overwhelming sorrow lasted for years. I&#39;m no one to offer advice. Love your son as you love her. He is your only one now and deserving of affection and devotion. We don&#39;t know why these things happen. Give your love completely to the ones that matter the most. Fill that void with your love for him.
