Pakistan’s government has announced new measures to subsidise petrol prices for low-income motorcycle users.
Under the scheme, eligible consumers will receive fuel subsidy tokens, allowing them to buy petrol at discounted prices.
More than 20 million motorcycle users are registered in the country. Fuel prices have jumped by nearly 50% since the conflict in Iran began.
Al Jazeera’s Kamal Hyder reports from Islamabad.
