Old one I so disingenuous those things were blocked or moved against because none of those were clean bills meaning they were attached to other pieces of legislation that the Republicans were trying to push through if they did come up for straight up and down vote it was the language and the devil is always in the details and I know the data center thing would not have passed if the legislation was written by Republicans because it gave everything that the billionaires or the companies regarding those data centers wanted without any meaningful checks

Don't forget that both times that Trump was impeached before the Senate was run by a pack of crooks led by almost dead. Mitch McConnell. We did not have a fair trial in the Senate on his criminal acts. No evidence was even allowed to be presented. Those were not really impeachments. That was just another layer of political corruption. I don't really like Dan Crenshaw, or most Republicans for that matter, but he is correct in calling out Jamie Raskin's blathering and seeming ignorance on how the Senate works. Even if the Democrats got rid of the filibuster and passed bills with a simple majority, they don't have enough votes to override a Presidential veto.
