It's true the US is cutting military aid to Israel. However, context matters. The US cuts aid to Israel. Then, the US sells the weapons to Israel. This allows Israel to modify the weapons as they want/need. Under the Aid package, they cannot modify the weapons at all. Yeah, the US saves some money, and Trump panders to his MAGA/America First base. But it opens a door previously locked off for Israel. The details matter. And this change has been in the works for quite a while.
