I get a resting the father, but not the girlfriend. Are you automatically assigned a duty of care regardless of whether you're a guardian or not? What if she wasn't a girlfriend? What if she was a male friend instead? What if she was a hitchhiker? What if she was an Uber passenger? Why does she receive a duty of care and no one else in the vicinity does?
They lock him up when he gets pulled over for not having brake lights or locks him up for getting them!!!
That’s not an “auto parts store”, it’s a junk yard where you can go remove parts off of cars so that you can reinstall it on your own car. It can take hours to remove some parts.

When you're poppin' out a kid a year for Babies For Benefit$, kids don't really mean much to them.
These type places have large numbers of totaled cars stacked 2 or 3 high, shattered glass, leaking fluids and sharp metal everywhere. You go in there with your own tools, pull the parts you need and pay at the exit. No way on earth any of these places would allow a child in there.

Yes its wrong the baby was left in the car. But the fact that the Department that needs to come in for help wouldnt answer the phone is worse.

Went on a high speed chase with the police and left his eight year-old behind. Due to this negligence with the two year-old, he was unable to pick his four year-old up from school. it’s obvious he doesn’t care about anyone but himself and he doesn’t really care about himself or he wouldn’t keep getting himself into these situations.

I''m from Augusta and have been to that yard many times. You cannot go in, find a car, pull the part, pay and come out in 5 minutes. It's 14 acres of junked cars.

So the manager wouldn't let Dad bring him in. He waited until he paid $2 to go in to find parts, then called the police. WTF. Hey manager, next time you see a kid in a car and you think he's overheated, how about you take him in the building to cool off? Why waiting for the cops, Don't stay in the heat.
Look I don't think leaving a kid out in a hot car is the right thing to do and my kids are grown now I'm older but when I was a young father I was struggling really bad living out of my car and a storage unit and driving an old piece of s*** minivan and I remember having to go to the pick n save Auto parts because I couldn't afford parts for my car so all I'm asking people to do is look at it from the perspective of someone who's already hurting and doing the best he or she, can I really don't think this man purposely left his kid out in a hot car because he doesn't love his kid . Look at it more as a man trying to survive and weighing options the best he can .
