That poor baby stood no chance 😢, people have to do better, if you aren't ready for the responsibility of raising kids, stop having kids. The grandma had a chance to save that baby but she fumbled and had the audacity to try blame the paramedics when she's the one who let her own daughter fall back into the care of the baby when she knew her druggy daughter wasn't fit to raise that kid
I’m sorry but if my kids making weird noises that ain’t normal for my child I would go to the hospital just to be on the safe side. Poor baby didn’t even stand a chance 😢

What makes this case especially heartbreaking is that child services was already working to remove the little girl from the home, yet the situation never got resolved in time. A 17-month-old depended entirely on the adults around her to keep her safe. Do you think cases like this need faster intervention when authorities already know a child may be at risk?
I mean technically Brittney was supervised by all the 5 maybe even 6 people in that house. I knew it was going to be drug involved when they said she was an active addict.

The grandmother went against the court order to not let her daughter be alone with the baby or let her live in the house with the baby. Too often these grandparents get a baby and allow the parent to be alone with a baby the court had found to be unfit <br>Soon the court will stop letting relatives take children because they can’t be trusted to keep the unfit parent away from the child. If the court says the parents are unfit the child will need to be placed with a foster family. And when grandparents and aunts and uncles ask why they can’t get the child they will be told because families are too trusting of unfit parents around an innocent child. <br>It’s people like this who allowed this to happen who will ruin every child s chance to be with a family member.

If your children are in danger while being in your care, let them go with somebody who can properly care for them, until you get your life on track. Part of being a parent is knowing when you can and knowing when you can't. It's the most motherly decision you can make for your children. There's no shame in that.

This is why sometimes it's better for dcf to put kids in foster care. Many times when kids are placed with a family member, the family is just as bad as the kids parent. And they give them right back. I've seen this so many times.
