Chinese man invited strangers to his wedding. Thousands showed up

A 24-year-old man in China worried his wedding would feel lonely. Having grown up without his parents, he had a small social circle and few people to invite. So he turned to the internet.

What followed became a national sensation. On October 30 and 31, thousands came to his home village in Yunnan Province, some traveling hundreds of kilometers, bringing food, gifts and warm wishes.

When asked what had motivated them, attendees said they just wanted him to know someone had his back. #InspiringChina
