Residents evacuated from Russian-occupied Oleshky have reached Ukrainian-held territory following a rare local truce. They described years of isolation, food shortages and regular shelling, with some saying they were forced to eat grass and dogs to survive. Seized by Russian forces in the early days of the 2022 invasion, the city remains cut off by the Dnipro River on one side and Russian troops on the other.

If these people had no food for several weeks, as media stories would have it, then they would be taken away on stretchers if not in bodybags. Something is not right with this Oleshky mass-starvation story.
