The ANC in KwaZulu-Natal has urged party volunteers to follow the example set by liberation struggle icons Chief Albert Luthuli and John Langalibalele Dube by reconnecting directly with communities ahead of the upcoming local government elections.
The call was made during a mobilisation campaign at KwaDukuza on KZN's north coast, where the party is seeking to rebuild support in one of the province's increasingly contested municipalities.
Volunteers have been urged to intensify grassroots campaigning and assist with voter registration efforts.
