British adventurer Ash Dykes has completed his kayak journey down the Congo Basin.
While the internet has been buzzing about his latest expedition, Dykes wasn't alone as there was a man who travelled alongside him.
His name is Obed Temba Tuyumvire.
According to World Wildlife Fund, the Congo Basin spans six countries making it home to a rich variety of wildlife, including gorillas, elephants, hippos, venomous snakes, and disease-carrying insects.
Because of these conditions, Ash Dykes needed a partner with a deep knowledge of the area, its local communities, and its potential dangers and that is where Obed Temba Tuyumvire came in.
Obed Temba joins us now to talk more about the expedition.
