Now they want to take our money to buy a ballroom we do not need or want.
As an Uber driver I go thru 1-3 tanks of gas a day and Uber is always trying to find out how little money drivers are willing to work for! I can't tell you how many ride requests I get daily that the breakdown is as low as 20-30 cents a mile and zero for our time! Banks and repo companies will tell you that 90 percent of repossessed vehicles come from Rideshare drivers! And these rideshare companies have been putting hundreds of millions of dollars every year for over a decade into self driving cars to take even more money for themselves by not having to pay drivers! As it is they don't pay for our cars, gas, repairs, insurance, ect! All of those expenses we have to pay for out of the slimmest margin of profit we might be making! I'm constantly borrowing money to buy gas to keep driving hoping I might make a profit to pay my bills and debts someday. The only other job I can think of where you pay money to work where you can only hope you might make money is as a professional gambler! Of the last 7 days of driving for Uber I lost money 6 of them! And of the 7th day I only made back half of what I lost during the first 6 days! 🤬
