Naming storms isn't new I think they have been naming them for 15 to 20 years your either miss informed or you live for a long time..I think it's the latter, hopefully one day we will stop naming them and say it's just some bad weather lol.

I'm on the west coast highlands and it is stormy. The wind has been quite strong since around 11pm Saturday night. However, I've been here for 12 years and these winds are quite reasonable compared to some of the big storms I've experienced. Those were 100mph winds gusting to 114mph. This is pretty mild by comparison. In those conditions when the wind really gusts, I can feel my house brace against it.<br><br>When they cut to Glasgow, I laughed! Sorry, but that's just a normal autumn/winter day in Scotland. Noisey and a lot of rain but nothing we can't handle here.
