Somebody assaulted that child. I had 4 kids who grew to adulthood and none of them ever had a neck injury. They had falls from trees, from falling off their bicycles, cuts and grazes and bruises...all the usual childhood injuries....but never a neck injury. How does that even happen? To leave the child unable to move or speak, in semi paralysis that affected her breathing? Why are the public not allowed to know what happened?

Could it be that Miranda injured her neck while practicing cheerleading at home? Perhaps she was attempting a backflip or some other move. Her mother gives the impression of being a "stage mom"—it is possible that she was pushing her daughter hard, determined to see her succeed in cheerleading.
