America is the largest exporter of diesel in the world. We export a third of all diesel produced in America. Read that again. <br><br>Unlike raw minerals, refined products like diesel always find the highest buyer. <br><br>In a constrained environment, supply goes down price goes up. <br><br>To lower the price of diesel globally, we need to increase supply that is now reduced due to the war in Iran and the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia. <br><br>Moving Russian diesel to the US only rearranges the diesel availability, it does not produce new supply. It will do nothing to the price of diesel. <br><br>What will happen is US oil companies will export more diesel to the highest buyer. Look at their quarterly earnings, they are minting money hand over fist. This is Christmas coming early for them. <br><br>What Trump is doing is all around bad economics, bad policy and only makes the rich richer.

The United States exports diesel fuel. Instead of being greedy, the country should redirect its diesel exports to the domestic market. Trump is a weak president who can&#39;t even redirect U.S. diesel exports to meet domestic demand.
