African National Congress (ANC) National Chairperson, Gwede Mantashe, has walked out of the COSATU National Congress, accusing organisers of compromising the alliance traditions for convenience's sake.
He was leading the ANC delegation at the federation's reconvened 15th congress in Kempton Park, east of Johannesburg.
SABC News' Nhlanhla Kgatlhane reports that Mantashe was unhappy about having to speak before the SACP and SANCO, insisting that the ANC should always speak last.
