Police fired tear gas at protesters blockading French high schools on Tuesday as students, teachers and parents took to the streets on the biggest day of action in a wave of demonstrations against understaffed and dilapidated classrooms. Reporting from a march in Paris, France 24's Claire Paccalin says that the demonstration there has been peaceful so far, though the atmosphere is "tense" with a "heavy police presence".

The government is in the find out stage right now. You can’t flood the country with immigrants without a plan to support a higher population. More students and less funding for schools obviously wasn’t a good plan

France = Nation of retards and losers. They've always been loser. Their forefathers were losers. It's in their DNA.

You showed us in this report the faces of the protestors.

Are you therefore also going to show us the faces of the rioters, or would that be inconvenient?

Classes have too many students packed into rooms too small and deteriorating, they cut funding for education, yet military spending has doubled in France over the last 10 years - up to 70 billion in 2027 - much more than is needed.

Pro-Macron are deflecting from France radically overspending on military and act as if some protesters behavior means all protesters are rioting (which isn't true). The students are correct that their schools are crumbling but the reaction of some by breaking the law is an incorrect response to the government caring more about massive military spending than them.
