HOW CENTRAL ASIAN COUNTRIES COMPLETELY FORGOT THIER ORIGINAL GLORIOUS PRE-ISLAMIC CIVILISATION of IRANIAN/ZOROASTRIAN STEPPES RELIGION and CULTURE 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞......
The very beginning of Don Quixote actually reveals a hidden history of forced conversion to Catholicism—and we know it just by what he ate! 🤯 Cervantes writes that Quixote ate "duelos y quebrantos los sábados" (literally "grief and sorrows on Saturdays"). In old Spain, this was a dish of scrambled eggs and pork. Eating pork on the Jewish Sabbath (Saturday) was how forced converts (conversos) had to publicly prove their Catholicism to the Inquisition. The name of the dish perfectly captures their hidden heartbreak and grief, but standard English translations completely lose this spiritual subtext. Also, Spanish speakers still say "ojalá" to wish for something—most don't realize it’s a direct linguistic descendant of the Arabic "inshallah"! Language holds so much hidden history. Im proud of my Arabic ancestry.
