A well carried out debate! its a shame that one compares a media outlet with another on the basis of quality of journalism especilly when it is across national borders. <br>Kudos!<br>Having said that, the Electoral SIR is a legal process which happens to be unfolding in an illegal manner! And its astonishing to see that never ever the Election commission held a press conference to deny it/accept it/challenge it (only tweets and minor statements- unworthy), however the first responders were the spokepersons of the ruling party. The allegations and accusations maybe a piece of conjecture but what has followed since, clearly indicates to a larger problem of trust, faith and democratic dignity being put to test. And clearly the government and the the Election commission is failing miserably. This year seems to be fateful for the BJP as every hooliganism, rowdism, fraudulent and dominant phase is slowly and eventually unveiling! Democracy has kind of become a joke, a jest and a mishandled and manipulated tool for this government!

Was the SIR supervised by the SC ? CEC is passing the buck to SC. Plz get serious activists like Neha Bora, Yogendra Yadav, Kabil Sibal, Prashant Bhushan, Abhijit Dipke, etc who are inside the country. A retired SC judge who is unbiased could explain and analyze why the SIR exercise is wrong.
