"We just need to communicate better!". They can't learn because facing reality equals renouncing and invalidating their entire identity, and that of their whole social circle. No great offence intended to this guy, but he's a living, breathing poster child for an obsolete and dying worldview: old and tired and willfully blind, and soon to disappear from the scene.

There is a huge difference between the vast majority of West Germans holding liberal - democratical views and very, very many East Germans with very authoritarian, racist and nationalist views that you can also see in the elections in Berlin and Meck - Pomm, which is in East Germany.<br>The bigger part of Berlin is West Berlin where the AfD is much weaker than in East Berlin, which was the capital of the stalinist East Germany.<br>The AfD in Berlin &quot;only&quot; gets some 15%, <br>the AfD in East Germany&#39;s Meck - Pomm gets 38 %.
