China's ruling Communist Party will adopt measures to further tighten discipline as it wraps up a meeting crucial to laying the groundwork for a once-in-five-year party congress next year. President Xi Jinping began his term in 2013 with an anti-corruption drive and has taken out all members of the Central Military Commission, except for himself and General Zhang Shengmin. General Zhang has been promoted at the Fifth Plenum to the Politburo — an elite circle consisting of 22 of the most senior members of the Communist Party. Tan Si Hui reports from Beijing.
