A couple of things, and make of them what you will:<br><br>1) in order to push dissent out of view, he created a pretext of construction to fence off a wide perimeter beyond the traditional boundaries of the White House grounds. This “construction” will be ongoing so no one can get anywhere near the White House. He did this in his first term too, but this time it’s on a grander scale.<br><br>2) while having dissenting media is good, and I wish our news media was more confrontational with him… it’s not really been the case. Most of the questions asked are phrased in such a way where they’re essentially broadcasting the soundbite that they want him to make. It’s like a pro wrestling “interview”; both sides are aware of what they’re doing. If anything, given Trump’s old age, they’re probably taking advantage of the fact that you can get him to say any kind of wild nonsense if you phrase a leading question right.
These outlets are just there to stir-up the pot to get people mad so the viewership goes up. It's so disengenious. They can report from the sidewalk.
