LGE 2026 | Cape Town mayoral race heats up

With the local government elections fast approaching, political parties are stepping up their campaigns across the country.

In Cape Town, the UDM and GOOD Party have both taken their campaigns to communities, with the UDM in Khayelitsha and the GOOD party in Athlone.

The UDM has announced its Western Cape chairperson, Bulelwa Zondeka, as its mayoral candidate for the City of Cape Town while the GOOD party, has put forward its Secretary General, Brett Herron as its mayoral candidate.
