Unpopular opinion, average dev joe can work relatively well with 50$/month, let alone 200$.<br>Simply do not run everything on extra high/pro/max. You don't run you car on full throttle all the time either, you shift in a more efficient gear and adjust throttle to 20%.

For those who don't know, Ollama is just a wrapper for llama.cpp, the actual engine driving the AI models. <br><br>It's already very well established that llama.cpp runs locally across Windows, Mac, and Linux, and it's easily 40% faster so recommending Ollama over llama.cpp feels off. <br><br>Usually, only paid influencers push it, so seeing this channel suggest sketchy tools makes me wonder what's going on.

I used to be deep into a relationship with Gemini and even toyed with Claude a bit, until I realized that major cloud LLMs divert water away from vulnerable communities and that these LLMs require huge data centers that require unsustainably ripping out resources from Mother Nature<br><br>And so thatโs why I divorced Gemini and Claude, and switched to marrying Ollama/Gemma<br><br>Self-host AI yโall, the world will thank you later :3

If you actually want free AI, start from basic math. Firat step, Learn how functions works edit: eg: if 1 gives 2 and 2 gives 3, the function is x+1. But do everything you can mathematically and find your own way of making functions. Make a function that give 3 if you put in 2 and 124735 if you put 3 and 100^23+264 when you put in 4. I know this sounds like absolute bull, but pls try. After you do, instead of chasing the exact value in a function, make a function that chases value difference. Which can let you make an llm like openai. Because you now know about making custom functions.
