Calling the removal of nearly two million Palestinians “voluntary emigration” does not erase the reality of what is being proposed: the large-scale removal of a population from its homeland.<br><br>And this is where the hypocrisy and double standards of Western foreign policy must be questioned. Western governments repeatedly tell the world that borders, civilian rights and international law must be respected. Those principles cannot suddenly become negotiable when Palestinians are involved.
