He was wrong when he said that we've known the Earth to be a globe for 500 years. An ancient Greek, named Eratosthenes, used just two sticks to figure it out about 2,500 years ago. With an assistant at one stick and himself at the other, they both drove the stick into the ground in Egypt with each planned to be the same height. One stick was 90 miles south of the other, and on the same day at the same time they recorded the length of the shadow. He did the math, calculating from the difference in shadow lengths that the Earth is a sphere and came close to getting the diameter right.

I just propose a simple explanation to prove the idiocy of flat earthers, a plane flying California to Hong Kong is going to fly West while a plane flying New York to Paris is going to fly East. In his model of the Earth if they wanted to fly California to Paris or New York to Hong Kong they wouldn't fly around the circle but instead would fly straight over the North Pole to shorten the distance. We don't do that though. Is he claiming the entire airline industry is in on a massive conspiracy and are wasting fuel which kills profits just to coverup a flat Earth?

Its mind blowing to me. Have these flat earthers never been on a commercial flight? You can see the curvature from even that altitude. Call me Mr tinfoil but I have seen evidence to show that the treaty is about more than environmental issues, flat no definitely not, but the south pole wasn't always frozen and I think things have been found there that the world governments don't want to get out.
