Check both the 24-hour PSI and 1-hour PM2.5 readings when planning outdoor activities amid the haze, said Singapore’s Minister for Sustainability and the Environment Grace Fu on Friday (Oct 16).
She added that the 24-hour PSI forecast is useful for planning activities the next day, while the 1-hour PM2.5 reading gives a better picture of current air quality. #singapore #sgnews #haze

Will there ever be haze forecasts calculated from wind patterns and the smoke already emitted from the hotspots?

I suggest NEA clarify.

My understanding is that we only have last-24 hours average and last 1-hour average.

And we are meant to use the last-24hour PSI as a forecast for next 24 hours. And use the 1-hour PM2.5 as the nowcast and ~1hr forecast.

The 24-hour PSI is calculated from readings from last 24 hours, but is also known as the 24-hour forecast?
