Ethiopia is flooded with unreliable social media. Recently, there was fake news that Bishoftu Airforce Base, Addis Ababa, Bahir Dar Airport were hit by drone but none of these were true. Fake news has polluted the digital media to the point residents close to the Airforce Base in Bishoftu, believed the news although they in reality did not hear any explosion and saw the base operating normally.
