He's got a deep voice and has grown taller than his Dad!!<br>I am scared of the speed of growth of childrens
I too was reminded that samsung laptops exists.
no framework ?!?
It’s like watching Harry choosing his wand at Olivander’s.
I thought framework would be at least mentioned.
Snapdragon Chads rise up!
I love the junior. He researched about the specifications!
just get a g14
yo linus I also need one 😭
Did you just reveal your kid's name? lol
This is one of the best videos of the past year
Bro totally indoctrinated his son against anything Apple when a Macbook Air is likely the best option.
Linus is a multimillionaire, and instead of buying their son an MBP M5 with 64 GB/2 TB or a ThinkPad, he buy him some cheap junk for poor people.
my favourite ltt host
Samsung laptops are underrated IMO. I've had a couple and they were great.

Used Lenovo x1 carbon
This guy isn't very smart 😂
@<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zg-rMHEqg-4&t=633">10:33</a> Missed opportunity to have him for a segue
the apple really doesnt <b><i>fall</i></b> far from the tree
Nice Fade!
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zg-rMHEqg-4&t=762">12:42</a> he is absolutely right and there is actually a scientific explanation for this
>Looks up a review of the laptop I purchased when going to university in 2008.<br>>2.7Kg (6lb)<br><br>Carried that thing everywhere with me without issue.<br><br>Maybe I AM old.
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zg-rMHEqg-4&t=989">16:29</a> hahshaha
Anything else than a tough book will be the wrong choice for that amount of abuse
little linus isnt so little anymore!
Wow, really a super interesting video, one of the best in a long time! Btw, what are you feeding your boy? Grew up in no time!
Framework??????
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zg-rMHEqg-4&t=243">4:03</a> deal tho 😂😂😂
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zg-rMHEqg-4&t=758">12:38</a><br><br>He's actually right here<br><br>A 5lbs weight is centered around your hand, so it's far easier to lift than a laptop, which has a center of gravity that's farther away from your body
That warehouse is much cooler than a bestbuy TBH.
this is a bit of a misery niche ... my wife.... my daughter..... my son..., my dog...., my cat...., my centipede....
Another episode of "Linus shopping for family member"
Wondering if a Macbook Neo wouldn't be ok to him
plsssssss... dont get into that windows trappppp.........
funny thing is that i have that exact asus laptop and its goated for the price(has 32gb RAM)
5 years. lol. I had the cheapest plastic PC I could buy get me through some high school, all of college, then it went to a roommate for a few years, and now it's their brother's. That thing saw freezing cold, blasting heat, soaking rain, falling off of a bike. It was a trooper. In college they had lockdown browser that required the camera to be recording, but I knew that camera was recording as like 2 seconds per frame and 50p so I bet they had a fun time validating that.
You and your wife have done an incredible job of raising your son, he is a lovely young man. I'm sure he will have a wonderful career what ever he chooses. ❤ 🌻
great video
framework 15 would be nice, but boy might like the 16 anyway
Linus kid being both taller than him and being shocked at the cost of the apple ecosystem is both very Linus but also hilarious.
damn those second hand samsung do look like great deals!
When you know your dad can buy you anything 😢
omg... little man had such a big step of evolution. I´m crying... life is wonderful
Just buy a damn mac
I am using a lunarlake U7 Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360. I hate windows and the performance on it. It sips Performance and battery like crazy and I only got this laptop for the screen (which broke while i was at school probably due to a thermal shift in my backpack.) And then i got it because it is samsung and works with all my devices, but that barely works. The samsung ecosystem is great on everything that isn't a PC unfortunately and it pushed me over to considering a macbook more than ever.
Not taking the chance to ask for a macbook will forever be a regret. 🙆🏼 im sorry
My Laptop needs a new Son
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zg-rMHEqg-4&t=227">3:47</a> like an addiction? You mean like spending $2,000+ on a Razer Blade like the channel sponsor? Or $3,000+ on a Framework?
Wtf the lil boy looks like a man now, dude it reminds me of my lil bro, the face OF A MAN<br>NOT LONG AGO THEY HAD BABY FACES.
Just get a framework "investment disclosure"
Surprised you didn't look at frameworks tbh
Why do young Guys Always get the pidgeotto Hair cut😮<br><br>I am so very gratefull that my teen years are Not on the Internet 😂😂😂
im 90 percent sure asus would have given a g14 or g16 for this video
imo i would have showed him framework
"What about ports?"<br><br>"As long as it has a charging port... "
I'm quite surprised he's not considering framework laptop
You did not just edit that 🤣 <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zg-rMHEqg-4&t=883">14:43</a>
I also Hate Trackpads<br>ive NEVER liked a track pad mainly because of how i have to use it
At this point I'm surprised linus hasn't figured out a way to pass off his daily dump as an business expense through a YouTube video
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zg-rMHEqg-4&t=443">7:23</a> I swear ltt have a folder named “linus drops things”
Get this man a refurbished Dell Precision 5490 lol
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zg-rMHEqg-4&t=544">9:04</a> That <b>IS</b> interesting. So, Linus finds it fascinating witnessing the less informed individual shopping experience while we all find it interesting watching a more informed approach. (Hence the 17m Subscribers xD)
you missed it "doesn't known how to walk out of the frame as a transition... to our sponsor... " :))
You trolled by not letting him try a MacBook
Just get a macbook lil bro
which ones the dad? xD
Holy shit his voice is getting deep. Already deeper than Linus'
Little man’s glow up era!!
I have 3 laptops from early 2000s and all pretty dang mint condition. You take better care of things when you have to buy them yourself. Haha
As someone who daylies a 16 inch laptop, 16 inch is best
Good <br><br><br><br>Can i get a pin i was under 15 minutes
I got MacBook m4 15inch 24,512 for 1000bucks btw for college
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zg-rMHEqg-4&t=1114">18:34</a> I lobe this place 😂😂
Looks like the Samsung Galaxy Book6 Ultra would have been a perfect choice. With an Intel processor and the Arc B390, there should be no compatibility issues and he can even do some light gaming when not at home.
I am happy that Linus can be so proud of his son for his decent choices.<br> And I am proud of junior because he doesn't buy into this teeny tiny screen crap.<br><br> I need to work, I need space, where are my 19"-Laptops?<br>Yes if you only run from meeting to meeting and only take notes, 13" might be enough. But then why don't you buy a Chromebook?
I like whenever Linus kids are here on videos, i didnt grew with a father figure, looking at Linus and Ivvone smiling to their kids brings me joy <3
No way that video was 4 years ago. Oh my god 💀
As a Dad whose kids are all taller then me....I feel this
Now I'm just imagining Linus at home, at the breakfast table, suddenly launching into a segue to our sponsor.
Just get him a macbook air m5.
A humble young man
some missing pieces of data are what is his school's desk situation, and what apps will they need? A smaller footprint means he can have more other stuff on his desk (what other physical stuff like books and paper do kids need these days?) and you can always have an external 10key (props to the little Linus for liking that). If you just need Office and web, literally any OS will do, even potentially iOS, Android, and linux, meaning tablets with keyboard folios are a thought.
Wait you didn't even have him try a Framework laptop? It is a great device and when it gets old or parts break they can be replaced or upgraded. If upgraded the parts can then be used for projects too.
Tactical tax writeoff!
I like to think that the editors just has an ever increasing folder of linus drop clips, to use whenever it's mentioned how much stuff linus drops
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zg-rMHEqg-4&t=231">3:51</a> I was weak and over the last year ive gotten pretty much the whole ecosystem. So i can confirm it is like an addiction.... Ecosystem is pretty neat tho. Worked wonders for my productivity.
My latest Mac is three words: display, battery and silence; not so easy in x86 land
me when<br>me when i ran out of ideas for videos:
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zg-rMHEqg-4&t=885">14:45</a> ??? he's a kid, whats wrong with the editors?
All jokes aside, if not gaming, the macbook air would be the best choice. all day battery, great performance, good keyboard and trackpad. screen is great but not 120hz.
If my dad is Linus I would have wish for 5080 laptop.
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zg-rMHEqg-4&t=257">4:17</a> Hearing him echo all our frustrations with the hardware of today's issues, from his own research, is so relatable.
The Only Performance that a Laptop needs is to connect to homelab with VPN and open an RDP Session to the VPS or Server @home!<br>You can close the RDP and open the session @home for seemless working. ;)
Holy shit, it was like yesterday he announced this kid
can i be your son🥲
This channel has gotten so boring
i like these father and son moments.
i love that a tech youtuber has a 'tech normie' son. i guess tech knowledge doesn't diffuse to our relatives! great video!
