In Bastrop County, outside Austin, a boom in AI data centers has turned neighbors into activists, and residents say it’s drawing people into politics who never cared before. Across the country, the price at the pump is up 37% on last year, with Trump’s war in Iran never far from voters’ minds.

The final New York Times/Siena poll puts Trump’s approval at 36%, a record low. Democrats need just three seats to take the House.
