Ukraine's drones struck three major Russian oil refineries in just three days, setting key facilities ablaze and putting nearly 10% of Russia's total refining capacity under pressure. The Novokuybyshevsk refinery, Bashneft-Novoil, and Lukoil's refinery in Nizhny Novgorod were all targeted.
Meanwhile, Moscow police had their own operation underway: stopping people, demanding passports, checking phone contacts, and reportedly handing out draft notices. Apparently, in Putin's Russia, a night out can come with a free interrogation and a potential trip to the front.
Three refineries burning, citizens being harassed, and the Kremlin still insisting everything is under control. Quite a picture of stability, isn't it?
Join Benjamin Lee in a new episode of Break The Fake to see how Ukraine's drone campaign is disrupting Russia's oil industry, while Putin's authorities make everyday life increasingly frightening for ordinary Russians.
